As the festivities died down and everyone started to return to their normal everyday lives, Elizabeth sat in front of the bonfire that was slowly dwindling to nothing more than embers. Lacy sat next to her, “Would you like me to keep the fire going longer?”

Elizabeth reached out her hand, grabbing the triplets with a squeeze, “You have done enough. You three go home and rest.” Lacy nodded before standing and turning to leave. The fire user held out a palm and brought the fire back to life.

The triplets smiled at her, in unison they spoke, “We are glad you came back safely.”

The witches glaze was far from where they sat as she remembered the realm of the dead and how the grey mists had overtaken her. Suddenly she called out to them, “Hey.” They turned back toward her. “Thank you. For… everything.”

The three smiled once again, “We are family now. It was our honor.”

Elizabeth turned back to the flames and let her mind get lost. She didn’t notice when Wesley sat next to her or covered her shoulders with a blanket. She didn’t notice when her brother took his place on the other side of her and the two men watched over her.

Inside, Stephon, Sari, Raina and Reba sat at the kitchen table talking, catching each other up on all the things that had happened since the man had been taken as a child. They told him of the trials Elizabeth endured before coming to save him. Whenever his anger grew, the ground beneath the house rumbled, letting the others know his emotions were true. Placing a hand on her twin's shoulder, “You’ll have to learn how to control that. I’m sure it will be different here, but you are never going to be alone again.”

Glancing from one sister to the next, the only brother smiled, “I never thought I’d get to come home again. It’s so surreal.”

“Well, you got lucky. Elizabeth moved out not long ago so you can have her old room,” Raina offered.

“Oh, why did she leave?” Stephon asked.

“That was the next part of the story… her and Lady Doreen worked out a financial deal and your niece now owns the only herbal shop in town. There is an apartment above it so she moved in there,” Reba recounted as she sipped on her coffee casually.

Over the next week, Stephon spent time catching up on all things missed. It was now the challenge of providing himself with an alibi for the last forty years. He needed identification, to learn to drive, and work on his education as well as other credentials. The three older Fairbairn women took Stephon shopping to fill up his closet with clothing choices for every season.

Once their shopping was complete, they found themselves standing outside of the Haven’t You Herb shop watching Elizabeth work through the large windows. “She looks tired,” Stephon remarked as they continued to watch her.

Looking at her watch, Sari replied, “It’s almost time for her to close up shop.
